As president and owner of CVW, Matthew Eidemiller is focused on positioning the company for continued growth in it’s next 40 years.
Matthew Eidemiller has served as the company’s lead technical director and staff engineer since 2007. In May 2010, Eidemiller was promoted to Vice President of Production, overseeing the operations and logistics of all CVW’s productions as well as budget preparation, invoicing, advanced client interaction and show management.
In late 2021, Eidemiller took over full ownership of CVW. In addition to continuing his production responsibilities, Matthew now oversees the growth and direction of the company as a whole, leading CVW’s advancement further into the forefront of cutting-edge production of both in-person and virtual events.
Eidemiller graduated from Clarion University of PA in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Matthew is an avid Yankees fan and when not working can normally be found around the baseball diamonds of VA coaching his sons’ baseball teams. Matthew resides in Bristow, VA with his wife and children.
Vice President, Business Development
As vice president of business development, Jason is responsible for maintaining client relationships and growing the business.
Vaughn joined CVW Event Productions as senior event producer and engineer in June 2013. This is Jason’s second tour of duty with CVW as he also served as the Lead Producer, Director and Engineer from 2002-2006. In January 2020, Vaughn was promoted to Director of Business Development. Jason previously specialized in multi-camera production, show management, and technical direction.
Jason graduated from Salisbury (State) University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Arts. In the years between his CVW stops he worked as the Video Production and Game Entertainment Manager for Ripken Baseball and the Aberdeen IronBirds (2007-2012). Jason lives in Linthicum Heights, MD with his wife Aubrey, and their two children. He is former college soccer player and avid Baltimore sports fan.
Managing Director, Client Services
Samantha joined CVW Event Productions in 2018 to provide administrative support to the office. In 2020 she moved into the role of managing day to day business operations for the company and expanded her role to include producer and stage manager for both in-person and virtual events. In December 2021 Samantha moved into her current role of Managing Director. Working directly with staff members, Samantha coordinates freelancer relations as well as client and vendor services.
Previously Samantha attended Clarion University and studied Mass Media Arts, was a stay at home mom and social media influencer, working online from home to build and grow her social networks. Originally from Pennsylvania, Samantha now resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children.
SENIOR AUDIO TECHNICIAN
Pete has served as the Lead Audio Technician for CVW since 2017. He has 25+ years of experience in all aspects of the audio-visual industry. Davis has held similar positions with companies such as Event Tech, ESP and Baltimore Sound and Lighting. For the last 20 years Davis has focused on honing his skills in the audio production field both in the music and corporate fields. Pete currently lives in Martinsburg, WV.
Senior Producer and Technician
Mike graduated from Frostburg State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video Production. Prior to his time here at CVW Event Productions Mike worked for Ripken Baseball, overseeing the live production and TV and radio broadcasts of the Aberdeen IronBirds, minor league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Mike joined CVW Event Productions in 2015 and brings 12 years of professional experience to the table. Mike has been trained in all aspects of CVW’s business but specializes in video production, projection and show management. Mike was married in 2018 to his wife Samantha and resides in Monrovia, MD. He is an avid sports fan and huge supporter of the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Penguins.
SENIOR EDITOR / PRODUCER
Adam is a Senior Editor/Producer with over 15 years’ experience working with clients large and small. He earned his degree in Film and Video Studies from George Mason University where he specialized in Post Production. Before coming to CVW Event Productions, Adam worked for SAIC, the American College of Cardiology, the International Monetary Fund, Marriott International, and NASA to name a few. He’s dedicated to making sure every client gets the personalized attention they deserve, and their post-production needs are met. Adam resides in Frederick, MD with his wife Maureen, and their dogs Thor and Melody.
Devon Dilla joined the CVW team in January, 2020 as a live event technician. A graduate of James Madison University, Devon has over 12 years of experience in live sports and entertainment broadcast as a cameraman, replay operator and director. He is a huge sports fan, particularly the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Devon lives in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife, Maxine, and their cocker spaniel, Buster.
Business Development Representative
Alice Ji joined CVW Event Productions in June 2022 as a Business Development Representative. Ji graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations, and a minor in Business and Organizational Leadership. As a Business Development Representative, Alice is responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships— working closely with Jason in client outreach and expanding the company’s network. Utilizing her background in PR and experience with social media, Alice plans to direct her skills towards growing the company and opening doors for CVW to help more clients host amazing events.
In her free time, Alice likes to enjoy good food and company, or discover new movies to watch with friends, and she currently lives in Northern Virginia with her family.
Solomon Carrera, rejoins CVW Event Productions as an Event Technician after previously working with the company in 2016-17. Carrera is a Technical Design and Production graduate from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Solomon has rounded experience in Theater, Photography, A/V, IT, and Live Event Production. His experience with events of all shapes and sizes allowed him to interact with vendors throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virgina area. Carrera has presented hundreds of private, corporate, and charity events since 2014 and continues to grow in his passion. This drive allows for one of a kind experiences that share a sense of professionalism, joy, and class. Carrera uses his experiences to appropriately and effectively use reasonable judgement to ensure that each event is presented professionally and with client satisfaction. Carrera’s goal is to provide opportunities to learn something new daily that can effectively enhance events and grow CVW Event Productions as well as his own varied skill sets.
Kirby Whyte is the founder of CVW Event Production, serving as president and executive producer from its beginning in 1981 until 2021 when he passed along controlling interest to current president, Matthew Eidemiller. Today, Whyte remains an advisor to Matthew and the CVW team.
A graduate of DePauw University, Kirby worked in the audio-visual and events industry for over 40 years as a hands-on executive who was not afraid to get his hands dirty. Through Kirby’s hard work and strong leadership, Creative Video grew from a small one-camera, two-person operation to a full-service audio-visual production company that does so much more than just shoot and edit projects.
Kirby is an avid golfer and loves good wine and whiskey. He and Bonnie live in Glen Echo, MD and have two grown children and two beautiful granddaughters.
