President / Producer
Kirby Whyte, founder of CVW Event Production, has been the President and Executive Producer for the company since its beginning in 1981. In addition, he plays many roles for the business including interviewer, director, cameraman and narrator. A graduate of DePauw University, Kirby has worked in the audio-visual and events industry for over 40 years.
Through Kirby’s hard work and strong leadership, Creative Video has successfully grown from a small one-camera, two-person operation to a full-service audio-visual production company that does so much more than just shoot and edit projects.
Kirby is a hands-on executive who is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He is an avid golfer and loves good wine and whiskey. He and Bonnie live in Glen Echo, MD and have two grown children and two beautiful granddaughters.
Vice President of Production
Matthew Eidemiller has served as the company’s lead technical director and staff engineer since 2007. In May 2010, Eidemiller was promoted to Vice President of Production. He oversees the operations and logistics of all CVW’s productions as well as budget preparation, invoicing, advanced client interaction and show management.
Eidemiller graduated from Clarion University of PA in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Matthew is an avid Yankees fan and when not working can normally be found around the baseball diamonds of VA coaching his sons’ baseball teams. Matthew resides in Bristow, VA with his wife Samantha and their three children.
VP of Federal Marketing
Bonnie has had a varied public affairs and communications career in the Washington, DC. She served as Public Affairs Director for two Federal agencies, managed and edited a local magazine, and worked for two national trade associations, serving as President of the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation. A graduate of the George Washington University, Bonnie is also a Certified Association Executive, Certified Instructor in Flexible Compensation, with graduate and certificate business, social media and communications skills.
Bonnie has a long track record working with clients to find solutions to their needs within their budgets, both large and small. CVW Event Productions has been working with federal and local governments for over 20 years, and Bonnie will work directly to make government projects happen on time and on budget. Bonnie and Kirby live in Glen Echo, MD and have two grown children and two beautiful granddaughters.
Director of Business Development
Jason Vaughn joined CVW Event Productions as Senior Event Producer and Engineer in June 2013. This is Jason’s second tour of duty with CVW as he also served as the Lead Producer, Director and Engineer from 2002-2006. Vaughn specializes in multi-camera production, show management, and technical direction.
Jason graduated from Salisbury (State) University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Arts. In the years between his CVW stops he worked as the Video Production and Game Entertainment Manager for Ripken Baseball and the Aberdeen IronBirds (2007-2012). Jason lives in Linthicum Heights, MD with his wife Aubrey, their two children and pitbull, Lincoln. He is former college soccer player and avid Baltimore sports fan.
Patrick has been working in the AV industry for nearly 30 years, serving in both front end production as well as operations support. A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Radio and Television Production, Patrick has lived within the Washington DC metro area his entire life.
Before joining CVW Event Productions, Patrick spent his entire career in the audio-visual support industry working for companies like Video Equipment Rentals (VER), AVHQ and PSAV. He has served in roles such as Senior Director of AV Services, Global Director of Loss & Damages and Regional Manager. This varied skillset coupled with his experience within the local market provides him a vast knowledge of resources to support our customers.
Patrick is an aging, but avid snowboarder and a passionate Washington Nationals fan. He loves to play golf and someday, dreams of playing it well. He lives in Chesapeake Beach Maryland with his wife and two teenage daughters, as well as the only other boy in the house, his dog PJ.
EDITOR / PRODUCER
Adam is an Editor/Producer with over 10 years’ experience working with clients large and small. He earned his degree in Film and Video Studies from George Mason University where he specialized in Post Production. Before coming to CVW Event Productions, Adam worked for SAIC, the American College of Cardiology, the International Monetary Fund, Marriott International, and NASA to name a few. He’s dedicated to making sure every client gets the personalized attention they deserve, and their post-production needs are met. Adam resides in Gaithersburg, MD with his soon-to-be wife, Maureen and their dog, Thor.
SENIOR AUDIO TECHNICIAN
Pete has served as the Lead Audio Technician for CVW since 2017. He has 22 years of experience in all aspects of the audio-visual industry. Davis has held similar positions with companies such as Event Tech, ESP and Baltimore Sound and Lighting. For the last 18 years Davis has focused on honing his skills in the audio production field both in the music and corporate fields. Pete currently lives in Martinsburg, WV with his dog Dakota.
Senior Producer and Technician
Mike graduated from Frostburg State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video Production. Prior to his time here at CVW Event Productions Mike worked for Ripken Baseball, overseeing the live production and TV and radio broadcasts of the Aberdeen IronBirds, minor league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Mike joined CVW Event Productions in 2015 and brings 8 years of professional experience to the table. Mike has been trained in all aspects of CVW’s business but specializes in video production, projection and show management. Mike was married in 2018 to his wife Samantha and resides in Monrovia, MD. He is an avid sports fan and huge supporter of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Teresina Phillips joined CVW Event Productions in May 2019 as the part-time staff
Bookkeeper, handling all CVW’s accounting duties.
Semi-retired, prior to joining CVW, Teresina worked six years with Keller Williams
Leesburg as their Market Center Administrator (bookkeeper/office manager). Phillips
extensive experience also includes working 16 years as the full charge accountant for
P&K Bookstores from 1996 to 2012 and from 1980-1991 she handled accounting for
Original World Products.
The northern VA resident is happily married to her husband Harry and is a VERY proud
mother of 4 children and grandmother to one lucky 6-year-old grandson.
In Teresina’s own words, “I love working at CVW. The people I work with are great! My
goal is to provide support and care for the clients and vendors, as well as my fellow
employees, through timely and accurate accounting.”
Devon Dilla joined the CVW team in January, 2020 as a live event technician. A graduate of James Madison University, Devon has over 12 years of experience in live sports and entertainment broadcast as a cameraman, replay operator and director. He is a huge sports fan, particularly the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Devon lives in Fairfax, Virginia with his fiancé, Maxine, and their cocker spaniel, Buster.
Samantha joined CVW Event Productions in 2018 to provide administrative support to the office. Working directly with staff members, Samantha helps with freelancer relations and social media networking. Previously Samantha attended Clarion University and studied Mass Media Arts, was a stay at home mom and social media influencer, working online from home to build and grow her social networks. Originally from Pennsylvania, Samantha now resides in Northern Virginia with her husband Matt and their three children.
